Questions people ask
The ten questions that come up most, refreshed monthly from what people typed that did not work yet. Something missing? The answer address is at the bottom.
What can I watch?
Anything with a number, a page or a date: crypto, stocks and indexes, exchange rates, any public web page or JSON API, RSS and Atom feeds, news on a free topic, domain availability, reminders, and about sixty named sources without a key, from earthquakes and tides to npm, arXiv, Bluesky and CVEs. The catalogue behind the plus button lists them all; each one also has its own page under /watch/….
How often is it checked?
Every hour by default. Every 30 minutes, 6 hours, 12 hours or once a day are free choices too. Every minute, five minutes and fifteen minutes are Notify Pro. A reminder is not checked at all: it fires at its time.
Why did my alert not fire?
Three usual reasons. The condition was already true when you made it, and an alert fires on a change, not on a state. The source is unreachable, which the dashboard shows as "source unreachable" after two failed checks. Or the alert already fired once and is set to fire only once; the dashboard has a "Turn back on" button for that.
Where do alerts arrive?
Email always. Telegram, push and your own webhooks, Slack, Discord or ntfy channels are switches in the dashboard. A sentence like "send it to Slack" picks the channel for you. On a phone, Telegram is the most reliable: push on iPhone only works once Breacer is on the home screen.
What does Free include, and what is Pro?
Free: three alerts, one API key, one channel, every hour or slower. Notify Pro (€79 a year or €9.99 a month, tax included): a hundred alerts, checks down to every minute, alerts the AI judges for you, private templates, five keys, ten channels and the weekly report.
Can I watch a page that needs a login or a key?
Not with a URL you paste: the address is shown to you and fetched without headers, so a key in it would leak. Your own sources under Wealth take a key server-side and are the way to do it; a webhook into your own series works too.
What does it not do yet?
Bank balances, heart rate or steps without your own source, Instagram or X, train delays per route (the operator wants a key), flight prices, and two wishes in one sentence. Asking for one of these gives an honest no and the option to watch the news on it instead.
Is there an API?
Yes, for Free and Pro: /api.html. Create, list and delete alerts with a key, subscribe a REST hook for Zapier or Make, and read the OpenAPI file.
What happens to my data?
Your alerts, channels and notification history belong to you: one click on the account page downloads everything in a single JSON file, and deleting the account removes it all. Sentences typed on the front page are read by the AI without your account attached. Details on /privacy.html.
How do I reach a person?
The feedback line on the front page (menu, "Feedback") or the address below. A real person answers within a working day.
